C Campers:

Wekiva Basin Pony Club had 7 girls attend the C Camp for Junior Council members. The camp was held at Rocking Horse and featured 3 incredible clinicians. Hannah Johnson taught dressage, Kyle Carter cross country and Ruthie Harbison finished up with stadium jumping. The girls stayed in cabins at the 4H camp in tha Ocala National Forest. Other highlights were launching off the top of a pontoon into a lake and extreme dodgeball. To view the rest of my camping pics go to: http://www.flickr.com:80/photos/kmancuso/

Just another HUG in Pony Club:

I came to take pictures of D-Day. A day when the C level Pony Clubbers teach the D levels something about horses. However what grabbed me was the sight of this little girl hugging a pony. This picture encompasses all that we are about: Happy child and a happy pony. Enjoy!

A D-Day Thank You Post

Thanks to Kim for this picture of some of the participants at D-day. Thanks to Bama for hosting the event. Thanks to our Junior Council Leader, Jenny for organizing the event. And a huge round of applause and thanks to the awesome Junior Council members for working at the event.

Callie and Flique

Hi
My name is Callie and my pony's name is Flique or "Scrapper John". He is around 27 years old and is a Morgan/QH cross. I think he was born in Orlando somewhere. When he was a 2 yr old, he was sick with strangles and Betty traded a little cash and a six pack of beer (her mom helped with the transaction) to buy him from a backyard horse owner. My first memory of Flique is riding him for my first horse lesson ever! If he were in a band, I think he would play an instrument in a jazz band. The coolest thing I have done with Flique is to canter on him, unexpectedly! If I could make life better for him, I would give him a warm, yummy fluffy, fancy stall and barn. I also wish he could be younger when I met him. I've learned how loving he can be when I spend time with him. I am impressed at how much he knows - he has taught me everything. He is so good that I have never fallen off. If he were a Disney character, he would be the cool cat who plays in the jazz band in the Aristocats. For Halloween we dressed up as Prom King and Queen.
To view other rider pony bios go to 2006 on the side bar. To submit a bio just email me and I will send you the questions to answer and I will need a photo of the pony and rider preferably standing like in Callies photo. Thanks, karen
